Questions About the Investor Program
Q1: What happens if my application is rejected? Do I lose my money? No. The system is built so that the investment only needs to be fulfilled after obtaining the visa. In the case of a Real Estate Fund, we use an escrow account: if for any reason you do not receive the final permit, the invested amount is returned. The risk is minimal.
Q2: When can I sell the investment? The law prescribes a 5-year holding obligation. This means you must hold the real estate fund certificates for 5 years. After this expires, you can freely sell them, and withdraw the capital (along with yields), while your 10-year residence permit remains valid.
Q3: Can I buy my own property for residential purposes? Naturally. Alongside the GIP status, you can freely purchase property for your own or your family's residence, but it is important to know: the basis of the status is the Real Estate Fund investment (or donation). An apartment bought for personal use does not in itself qualify you for the Guest Investor permit; that is a separate transaction in which our Real Estate team also provides assistance.
Q4: Can I bring my parents too? In a strict sense, the GIP program automatically involves the spouse and minor (or dependent) children. For parents, an individual examination is required (e.g., if they are demonstrably your dependents), but this is not an automatic right. We develop a unique strategy for this.
