Eligible Applicants The law builds this permit type on three main pillars. In their case, the absence of a degree is compensated by a contract with a sports organisation or documentation of artistic activity.
Exceptional Validity Period In the interest of stability, the Hungarian Card can be issued for an exceptionally long duration. Whilst standard permits are typically issued for 2 years, the Hungarian Card may — at the authority's discretion — be granted for up to 3 years, periodically extendable by a further 3 years.
Exemptions Similarly to the National Card, Hungarian Card holders are exempt from the labour market test. This means the employer is not required to notify the Government Office of a workforce demand — submitting documents proving professional suitability is sufficient.
